LUXE Botanics is dedicated to transforming the clean beauty industry by combining science with ethics. A high-end, high-performing skincare range that has a meaningful impact for the communities and nature the founder grew up in. Biological scientist, Jené, is the brains and beauty behind LUXE. Growing up in South Africa, surrounded by nature and inspired by intrepid travels in the African bush, it was here where her passion and wonder for the natural world led to a Bachelors degree in Nanotechnology and Biological Chemistry. Finishing her tertiary education with a Masters in Applied Science, majoring in Biotechnology and Bioethics

After specialising in clinical research and leading oncology and dermatology trials for a decade, Jené identified the need for a paradigm shift in the beauty industry. As consumer activism increased and health became more important, brands had to re-evaluate their ethics, ingredients, and the impact of their products. Her journey focused on researching the planet's most transformational botanicals, both from her home continent and from around the world, in order to support local farmers and give back to rural communities through ethical and sustainable harvesting
